Tomato Farming : Truths you should know

Nothing can beat the taste of fresh juicy home grown tomatoes! The joy and pleasure in the succulent taste of the red-ripe tomatoes are always superior to the bland tomatoes that the supermarkets sell. Harvesting tomato at the right time and the right way can give a fantastic flavor!

But many people are hesitant to plant tomatoes for the reason that they are not familiar with the “how to” and “what not to” in planting tomatoes or in other words, they don’t know how to grow tomatoes.

But the fact is tomato farming is easy as long as you know the rules and guidelines in doing it.

First, we need a perfect place where we want to put the seedlings.
Many people think tomato plants like direct sunlight. So, they plant it in the sunniest area of the garden.

But what they don’t understand is that in order to turn them red; the temperatures should not be over 86 degree F.

If you’re living in areas where the summer temperatures are high it may give the tomatoes on the vine a yellowish orange color.

It's probably better to pick them in the pink stage and let them ripen indoors in cooler temperatures.

Tomatoes need warmth, not light, to ripen, so there's no need to put them on sunny places. Place them away from direct sunlight, maybe even in dark areas where the temperature is in the range of 60 to 72F.

In addition, tomatoes farming also involve an important factor which is the wind. The physical and root problems are usually caused by poor ventilation of the soil.
So make sure the place gets good ventilation. More so, growing tomatoes involve proper spacing.

This step will help the plants in many ways. If you are not going to give proper spacing, there is a possibility of air to have depressed circulation. Also, it may trigger disease outbreak and it would spread to all surrounding plants!

The advantage of harvesting tomato is that they grow in any kind of soil. Water it generously for the first few days. They need to be watered regularly.
To help tomatoes through periods of drought, find some flat rocks and place one next to each plant. The rocks pull up water from under the ground and keep it from evaporating into the atmosphere.

These are just the basic things to remember. But if you are interested in tomatoes farming or harvesting tomatoes then I recommend you read the book - "The 3 Secrets to Growing Incredible Tomatoes" by  Kacper Postawski.

It’s an amazing book which helped me increase my tomato harvest. It covers so many information & secrets to growing tomatoes in an amazing way which actually shocked me! Almost double the harvest in half the time.

The amazing thing is it covers techniques to grow juicy organic tomatoes which don’t utilize fertilizers! Well, in one word - impressive book which you must read.
I must also say some parts of the book are the usual stuff but 75% of the info is mind blowing!

It covers and helps in –

1. Growing tomatoes of even sizes. This is almost impossible to believe today. But if you notice the tomatoes you get in the markets, they’re all difference sizes. This isn’t natural, it’s genetic deformation. Even the tomatoes you grow in your garden will have some kind of deformations.

2. How to make e
very tomato to have a STRONG amazing aroma. You can smell these tomatoes without even cutting them.

3. To grow tomatoes with was paper thin “skin”. The skin is completely digestible and having a texture similar to that of a peach, except not as fuzzy. (When you touch a tomato brought from a supermarket, the skin feels almost like it’s made of plastic)

4.
To grow tomatoes with no glue like substance in the tomato, or odd green or red vein like membranes. Instead, the tomatoes filled with a lush fruity inside! If you took a tomato that is sold in stores now, and compared it to this thing, it would be unrecognizable.
